Practical Skills Assessment-30 minutes

Each Operator must demonstrate pre-shift inspection, good control of equipment, proper load handling at all levels, awareness of pedestrians and obstacles, and appropriate re-fueling/re-charging procedures

Practical Skills Assessment must be performed on each class of truck the employee is required to operate
Refresher Training Session includes theory and practical skills assessment on one class of truck, conducted on the same day, at customer location, for up to 8 operators.
New Operator Training Summary
Theory Agenda-8 Hours

Ministry of Labour Guidelines and the C.S.A. dictate that the theory session must be 8 hours in duration. The agenda is the same as the refresher session, but more time is needed to cover and clearly explain the information.
Practical Skills Assessment-1hour
After an operator has gained a minimum of 8 hours of practical experience, he/she will be evaluated to ensure they meet requirements and skill demands of their environment.
